GTM & Local Growth Manager

We are Rockup - a startup building a new kind of social networking and messaging mobile app focused on real-time geolocation. Think Telegram meets Tinder, but with a focus on location and communities - a tool for connecting with the people around you when you need it most.

Backed by a profitable sister company, we have the energy and agility of a startup coupled with resources of a mature organization. We’re a fast-moving startup preparing for our MVP launch, and we’re looking for a creative and hands-on GTM & Local Growth Manager to lead our go-to-market efforts in Cyprus and help us scale globally afterwards.

To succeed, RockUp needs high local density in targeted areas — which means smart, creative go-to-market execution is just as important as the product itself. And that’s where you come in.


 

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Design and execute Rockup’s repeatable GTM playbook, starting with universities and expanding to city-wide usage
  • Personally lead the first viral cell activations (e.g. campus hotspots, dorms, bars)
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of local Launchers and student ambassador
  • Help define and own early growth metrics (activations, daily usage, invites, retention per location)
  • Be part of the product team, collaborating on positioning, onboarding, and retention
  • Provide structured feedback loops from the field to improve product-market fit



Requisitos

Who we’re looking for

  • You’ve led launch efforts for a product that needed real-world activation, not just digital ads
  • You’re a natural systems builder, but you’re just as comfortable running field experiments
  • You’ve worked in social apps, marketplaces, Gen Z consumer, student communities, or grassroots field teams
  • You understand network effects, viral loops, and local density dynamics
  • You’re comfortable with the early-stage startup ambiguity, hustle, and iteration
