Spotware, the developer of multi-asset trading platform, cTrader, is excited to announce the launch of the cTrader WebView Plugins Hackathon, a development contest created to celebrate and support the release of cTrader’s brand-new WebView plugins feature. The event kicks off on 16th July 2025, and invites coders, traders and creative tech minds to build and publish innovative plugins for a chance to win high-end prizes and recognition in the cTrader community.

The cTrader WebView Plugins Hackathon is designed to spark creativity and adoption of this powerful new feature. Participants will compete to create and publish the most popular WebView plugin in the cTrader Store by the contest’s closing date of 31st August 2025.

To be eligible, plugins must pass moderation and be officially published in the cTrader Store. Participation is open to all.
The top three entries will receive premium Apple products:
- 1st Place: Apple MacBook Pro
- 2nd Place: Apple iPad Pro
- 3rd Place: Apple Watch 10
Winners will be chosen by cTrader Management, based on each plugin’s creativity, functionality and overall potential. Final results will be announced on 8th September 2025.
Why WebView plugins matter

Meanwhile, developers can build useful tools that traders love, publish them in the cTrader Store and monetise their work. Optionally, they can add WebView plugins to their cTrader apps and share them via Invite, attributing other traders.
WebView plugins are highly accessible and reinforce cTrader’s position as an Open Trading Platform™. If you can build a basic web app and connect it to an API, you can create a plugin. From forex trading innovations to education widgets or real-time analytics panels, the possibilities are almost endless.
