General Manager (with a Tech Background)

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced General Manager with a tech background to oversee the daily operations of the company while driving technology-driven business strategies. This role combines leadership, management, and technical expertise to ensure business goals are met and technology is effectively leveraged across operations, product development, and client-facing services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technology trends, business management, and deep experience in the trading industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute business strategies, ensuring they align with the company’s vision and goals.
    • Lead and drive the integration of technology into all aspects of the business to improve efficiency, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with the executive team to define and implement long-term business plans and technology strategies.
  • Operational Management:

    • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring productivity, performance, and quality across departments.
    • Ensure platform stability, performance, and security in collaboration with the Head of Software Development and engineering teams.
    • Optimize business processes through technology integration, process automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Product & Technology Integration:

    • Lead product and technology teams to deliver high-quality products or services.
    • Ensure technology is leveraged to solve business problems and create new opportunities.
    • Work closely with engineering teams to define product roadmaps and align them with business objectives.
  • Business Development:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, liquidity providers, partners, and other stakeholders.
    • Develop strategic partnerships to increase platform adoption and revenue streams.
    • Oversee pricing models, monetization strategies, and client acquisition efforts.
  • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Build and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between technology, operations, sales, marketing and other departments.
    • Foster a culture of high speed, delivery first environment and innovation.
    • Ensure that staff have the necessary technical expertise and resources to succeed.
  • Performance Monitoring:

    • Set measurable KPIs for operational and technological performance and ensure these are met.
    • Continuously monitor and analyze business performance, taking corrective action where needed.
    • Use data analytics and business intelligence tools to inform decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners.
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on business performance, technology initiatives, and market trends.
    • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, staying ahead of market and technology developments.
  • Budget & Financial Management:

    • Manage the budget for the cTrader business unit.
    • Ensure financial goals and objectives are met through cost-effective management of resources and technology.
    • Drive cost-effective solutions and revenue optimization strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (7+ years) in a senior leadership role in the trading, FinTech, or brokerage industry.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, brokerage models, and liquidity aggregation.
  • Proven track record of leading technology teams and driving product development in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with SaaS business models and digital product development.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies and how they can impact business models.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and scaling operations, products, and teams in a technology-driven company.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
